Privacy Policy

Last updated:

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information AsaanTax.pk ("we", "us") collects when you use this website and our services, why we collect it, how we protect it and the choices you have. By using the website or submitting a form you agree to the practices described here.

Information we collect

We collect only what we need to provide the service you ask for.

  • Contact details: your name, mobile number, email address and city.
  • Identity and tax details: your CNIC number, NTN, and the income, tax, asset and liability information needed to prepare a return, registration or reply.
  • Documents you upload: for example CNIC copies, salary certificates, bank statements, tax certificates, property and vehicle papers, and FBR notices.
  • Business details: business name, registration numbers, addresses and records, where the service is for a business.
  • Vehicle details: make, model, year, value and existing insurance, when you ask for a car insurance quotation.
  • Account information: your login email and a password. Passwords are stored only in hashed form; we cannot read them.
  • Messages: what you write to us in forms, the dashboard, email or WhatsApp.
  • Technical information: IP address, browser type, pages visited and how you reached the site (for example a search engine or a campaign link). This is used for security and to understand which pages are useful.

Please do not send your full CNIC number, passwords or bank PINs through open message boxes. Use the secure application form and document upload instead.

Why we use your information

  • To prepare and file tax returns, statements, registrations and replies that you have asked for and approved.
  • To request and present car insurance quotations.
  • To contact you about your application: questions, document requests, status updates, invoices and reminders.
  • To keep records that the law requires of a tax consultancy and of you as a taxpayer.
  • To keep the website secure, prevent misuse and fix problems.
  • To improve our service, using statistics that do not identify you.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use the details of your tax affairs for advertising.

How we protect your information

  • Encryption of CNIC numbers: CNIC numbers are encrypted before they are stored. Screens show them masked wherever the full number is not needed.
  • Encryption of documents: every document you upload is encrypted and kept in private storage that cannot be reached by a public web address. A document can be opened only through a logged-in, authorised account or a time-limited secure link.
  • Secure connection: the website uses HTTPS so that information is encrypted while it travels between your device and our server.
  • Restricted access: staff accounts have role-based permissions, and staff activity on applications is logged.

No system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. If we become aware of a breach that affects your information, we will inform you and take the steps the situation requires.

Who can see your information

  • Our staff: the tax officer assigned to your case and the managers who review their work. Accounts staff see invoice and payment details. Staff see only what their role requires.
  • Authorities you ask us to deal with: when you approve a filing, the information in it is submitted to the relevant authority, such as FBR, SECP, a provincial revenue authority or IPO Pakistan.
  • Insurance and takaful companies: when you request a quotation, we share the vehicle and contact details needed to obtain it with licensed insurers.
  • Service providers: companies that host the website and deliver our email and WhatsApp messages process information on our behalf, only for that purpose.
  • Legal requirements: we disclose information if a law, court or competent authority requires it.

We use a small number of essential cookies that the website needs in order to work — for example to keep you logged in and to protect forms. These do not need consent.

Analytics and advertising cookies from Google (such as Google Analytics, Google Ads and AdSense) are used only if these tools are switched on for the website and you give permission in the cookie banner. Until you accept, they are not allowed to store or read cookies on your device. You can change your choice at any time through the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of the page.

We do not send your name, CNIC, phone number, email address, amounts, document names or application numbers to Google's analytics or advertising tools.

Some features load content from other companies only when they are used: a security check (Google reCAPTCHA) on forms where it is enabled, a Google map on the contact page where it is enabled, and YouTube videos in articles, which load only after you click play. Those companies handle the information they receive under their own privacy policies.

WhatsApp and email notifications

  • Service emails: if you give us an email address, we send messages about your application or inquiry, such as confirmations, document requests, status changes and invoices.
  • WhatsApp updates: we send updates on WhatsApp only if you opt in by ticking the WhatsApp option on a form or in your dashboard. You can opt out at any time by changing the setting in your dashboard or by telling us.
  • Newsletter: tax deadline reminders are sent only to people who subscribe. Every newsletter email has an unsubscribe link.

WhatsApp messages are delivered through the WhatsApp Business platform, and emails through an email delivery provider. If you message us on WhatsApp, WhatsApp's own terms and privacy policy also apply.

How long we keep information

We keep your application records, the documents used for them, filed returns, acknowledgments and invoices for as long as you are our client and afterwards for the period that tax and other laws require records to be kept. Inquiries that do not become an application are kept only for as long as they are needed to respond to you and for our business records. Security and activity logs are kept to protect accounts and to investigate problems.

Your choices: access, correction and deletion

  • Access: you can see your applications, documents and invoices in your dashboard, and you can ask us what information we hold about you.
  • Correction: if something is wrong or out of date, update it in your dashboard or ask us to correct it.
  • Deletion: you can ask us to delete your account and personal information from your dashboard or by contacting us. We will delete what we are not required to keep. Records that the law requires us to retain — for example those supporting a filed return or an invoice — are kept, restricted, until the retention period ends.
  • Marketing and cookies: you can unsubscribe from the newsletter, opt out of WhatsApp updates and change your cookie choice at any time.

We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request, to make sure we do not give your information to someone else.
