About this service
Vehicles used for business — pickups, vans, trucks, buses, rickshaws and cars used for hire — are insured on different terms from private cars. They spend more time on the road, carry goods or passengers, and are often driven by employees.
Tell us how the vehicle is really used. Insurers price and accept commercial risks on that basis, and a policy issued for the wrong use can cause a claim to be refused.

- Comparison of insured value, premium, deductible and conditions on drivers and use
- Explanation of what is and is not covered — for example, goods carried are normally insured separately
The policy is issued by the insurer you choose, on its terms. AsaanTax.pk assists with quotations and paperwork only.
Documents required
- CNIC of the owner, or registration documents and NTN of the business
- Vehicle registration book or card
- Make, model, model year, body type and carrying capacity
- How the vehicle is used: goods, passengers, routes
- Current market value of the vehicle
- Route permit and fitness certificate, where applicable
- Previous policy and claim history, if any

How it works
- Fill in the quotation form with your vehicle and contact details.
- We request quotations for your vehicle from licensed insurance and takaful companies.
- We share the quotations with you so that you can compare cover, deductibles, conditions and premium.
- You choose the option you prefer. The insurer completes its own checks, such as a vehicle inspection, and issues the policy in your name.
Frequently asked questions
Are the goods in my vehicle covered?
Normally not under the motor policy. Goods in transit are usually insured under a separate policy; ask us and we will request a quotation for it.
Does it matter who drives the vehicle?
Yes. Policies normally require a valid driving licence of the right category, and some set conditions about drivers. Check the policy terms.
Can I insure a commercial vehicle as a private car to save money?
No. The insurer can refuse a claim when the vehicle was used differently from what was declared.
